22nd January 2008 - Almost two years to the day that “Clarinda” was announced to the world on Radio Scotland’s “Radio Cafe” Mike and Sabrina appear on the same program to discuss the world premiere of the play on 25th January 2008. Sabrina sings “40 Years On” live.
14th January 2008 - Press and media interest in “Clarinda” is increasing. Photographers from Edinburgh’s “Scotsman” and “Evening News” newspapers spent some time with Sabrina and George (in full costume) in Edinburgh’s Canongate Churchyard. Their photos appeared in both newspapers on 15th Jan. To see some “unofficial” photos of the event go the Photos page.
January 2008 - Rehearsals began on 7th January, unfortunately without our “Robert Burns”. Due to other commitments Kieran Brown was unable to get away from his European tour in time to join us. Rozelle House is approximately 1 mile from the cottage where Robert Burns was born, and “The Roselle” was the ship which carried Nancy to Jamaica, (coincidentally the same ship which Burns himself intended to sail there on in 1786) so a highly fitting venue for the initial performances of “Clarinda”
